Google search result removal and de-indexing support

A harmful result can appear whenever a prospective client, employer, investor or personal contact searches your name. The correct response depends on both the source page and the reason the result should no longer appear.

Erasures assesses source removal, publisher engagement, privacy-based requests and Google de-indexing routes. We distinguish permanent removal from suppression and explain which outcome is realistically available before work begins.

Questions about google search result removal

Can Google remove a result while the page stays online?+

In some circumstances, yes. Google may de-index certain content under its policies or applicable legal frameworks even when the source remains published.

What is the difference between removal and suppression?+

Removal or de-indexing stops a URL appearing through the relevant route. Suppression tries to move it lower by promoting other pages; the original content remains online.

Will removing the source page remove it from Google immediately?+

Not always immediately. Google must recrawl the source and cached snippets may need separate attention. We assess both the page and its search appearance.

Important:

Removal cannot be guaranteed. Outcomes depend on the content, evidence, publisher, platform and applicable rules. We provide a realistic assessment before paid work begins.
